Dallas Holiday Events

Texans are known for doing things BIG and how we celebrate holidays is no exception! We’ve put together a list of our favorite ways to celebrate the holidays in the Dallas area that are sure to bring a little extra joy into your season.

The Carriage Ride Experience – Highland Park Village

There’s nothing more magical that viewing Christmas lights in a horse-drawn carriage ride through Highland Park.  You may reserve a romantic carriage ride for two or even a wagonette which can accommodate up to 12 people for Christmas caroling!  Threejays Carriages is a family owned and operated business that has been voted number one for holiday carriage rides in the DFW area.  You can reserve your carriage ride in advance!

Christmas in the Square at Frisco Square. Frisco.

With almost 200,000 lights on display over eight miles, Frisco Square is a sight that can’t be missed. In this winter wonderland, you’ll experience North Texas’ largest choreographed holiday lights and music show! Over 750,000 visit this spectacular show between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve each year. This experience is free to the public making it the perfect family-friendly activity.

You can visit the Christmas tree lot to pick out the perfect tree hop on a train ride or enjoy ice skating to Christmas carols. If you’re looking to avoid the crowds, you can tune in to 107.3 FM on the radio and drive through the square to catch the light show.

Dallas Zoo Lights

While the Lion’s away, the people will play. Between November 15th and January 5th, the Dallas zoo transforms into a spectacular holiday party!
