Dallas Summer Bucket List

Time to step away from your laptop and pack away your sweaters… it’s finally Summer and time to get out explore this beautiful city that we call home. We’ve put together a list of our top experiences to add to your Dallas Summer Bucket List!

Dallas Zoo

Did you know that the Dallas Zoo operates as the oldest zoo in Texas? With over 100 acres to explore, you can spend all day with fellow animal-lovers and even get up-close-and-personal with giraffes! Protip: Mark September 13 on your calendar for the adults-only Brew at the Zoo! In the Wilds of Africa, you can sample beers and ciders from over 30 local and national breweries and enjoy animal encounters, keeper chats, games, and music by DJ Natural Hiiigh. All proceeds support the zoo’s conservation efforts!

Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden

Not only does this offer the perfect space for a romantic picnic in the park, but the Thursday night concert series creates one of the best date night ideas in Dallas. Tickets cost between $31-$35 and you can bring your own food and a bottle of wine. Or, try one of the food trucks on site!

Klyde Warren Park

Keep tabs on the upcoming events to attend free fitness classes, free movies in the park, or bring your four-legged friend to the dog park! To make this experience even more memorable, take a vintage McKinney trolley from uptown to Klyde Warren Park. The best part: trolley rides are free!

Sixth Floor Museum

This museum, located in the former Texas School Book Depository, commemorates the location of Lee Harvey Oswald evidence after the assassination of JFK. So many Dallas natives have heard all about this museum, but how many have experienced it first-hand? This spot must make your bucket list, even if you don’t consider yourself a history buff.

Trinity Forest Adventure Park

For those of you that don’t want to wait in the never-ending lines at the amusement park, this perfect spot works to get your adrenaline rush! This park features seven-acres, six obstacle courses and over 20 zip lines. If you have a fear of heights, this park also has pedal boats and pony rides!

Gondola Experience

Nothing creates more romantic than surprising your summer love with a sunset gondola ride through the Mandalay Canals and Lake Carolyn in Las Colinas. You can book their private one-hour tour or make reservations for a full gourmet dinner with rose petals and a special message in a bottle. Summer love’s perfect experience! Definitely a must on any Dallas summer bucket list.
